Fantastic panoramic views over the surrounding countryside can be appreciated from the nearby and famous Tor hill. Walk around the terraces. These may be called a Cretan
spiral, because the pattern appears on Cretan coins and may have some connections with the labyrinth.
Equally well known is Wearyall Hill. Here is where,
legend says that Joseph of Aramathea planted his staff in the
cottage in the wonderful and mystical town of
